20/05/2011 World Championship Tandem Race - Enter Now! New has just reached us from Black Rat Cycles organisers of the inaugral World Championship Tandem Race that entries are now open. Held on 4th September 2011 at Castle Combe, Wiltshire the World Championship Tandem race consists of 4 x 40 Tandem Heats (12 miles) with the fastest 40 teams going on to the final (16 miles) Entry cost £30 per team. Totally Tandems are proud to be a supporter of this unique event (we will be riding) and if you don't have a tandem we will be taking tandems to the event for hire at a cost of £25 per tandem per round. 15/05/2011 Windsor Great Park Tandem Experience Launched. Riding a tandem for the first time can be a bit daunting so we are proud to launch the Windsor Great Park Tandem Experience aimed at first time tandem riders, spend the day riding a Circe Helios tandem around the traffic free roads of the Windsor Great Park. Priced at £75 for the day, Totally Tandems staff will meet you at the Rangers Gate, adjust the tandem, give riding instructions and meet you back at the car park at the end of the day. During the day you can visit Windsor, Eton, Virginia Water, Savill Gardens, Valley Gardens, Royal Lodge and watch the Polo at Smiths Lawn. Click here for Windsor Great Park Tandem Experience details.
09/05/2011 Fully Supported London to Brighton Tandem Rides - New Dates Released. Over the past few months Totally Tandems have organised a number of Corporate and Group tandem rides from London to Brighton with groups of between 10 and 16 riders. The feedback from riders has been overwhelmingly positive so we have decided to set aside some days in May and June for smaller groups or couples to join one of our fully supported tandem rides. The £120 per tandem price includes delivery of a Circe Helios tandem to Clapham Common, Support Vehicle for the duration of the ride (we will even carry your bags to Brighton) Collection of the tandems from Brighton, Start and Finish line photos and a Certificate of Achievement! Upon arrival in Brighton riders can head straight back to London by train or book into a hotel for a weekend break. 28/3/2011 Circe Helios - 'Ride Before You Buy' Scheme Launched - This innovative scheme is designed for potential purchasers of the Circe Helios who would like to spend an extended amount of time with a Helios before taking the plunge to buy one. An extended trial should answer all the questions you have and is much more reliable than listening to the 'advice' of retailers or magazine reviews. The 'Ride Before You Buy' scheme works like an ordinary tandem hire, but when you order the tandem through Totally Tandems we will pay for extras (Mudguards, Pedals, Computer, Racks etc) up to the value of the initial hire. 23/3/2011 Circe Helios Tandems Available for Hire - We are pleased to announce the addition of the Circe Helios 'compact' tandem to our hire fleet. After a period of rigorous testing over the winter we have initially added three Circe Helios machines to our existing range of Thorn tandems and have an option agreed to add more throughout the season. Totally Tandems have also signed up to become a Circe dealership as we anticipate many of our hire customers will not want to hand them back (you can claim your hire fee back in the form of upgrades and extras when you order) For a full list of reasons why we love the Circe Helios so much please visit our Circe Helios tandem hire page but lets just say we believe this is the most 'practical' all round tandem money can buy (or hire) and kids can ride them too.
