We have tried to make the tandem hire process as simple as possible, however there are certain formalities we have to go through to satisfy our insurers and make sure our tandem hire customers have a great time.
Tandem hire agreement
Our simple one page tandem hire agreement is written in plain English and is rather like a simplified car hire agreement which can be signed upon collection of the Tandem.
Rental payment
For tandem hire up to 2 weeks in duration a 20% booking deposit will be charged at the time of booking and the rental balance will be charged on collection of the tandem.
Deposit
Upon collection/delivery of the tandem a refundable security/damage deposit will be charged to your credit card (Day Hire Tandems £100, Touring Tandems £250) The deposit will be refunded in full upon return of the tandem on time and in satisfactory condition. totally-tandems reserve the right to withold reasonable expenses for late returns and damages up to a maximum of the deposit amount. If the tandem is stolen the hirer will forfeit the full deposit as a contribution towards the insurance excess.
Liability Insurance
Third Party Liability insurance up to £1 million per incident is included within the rental price.
